Cleanings tailored to you
We believe a healthy foundation comes first, so periodontal (gum and bone) care is our top priority. Whether you're due for a six-month checkup or need full periodontal therapy, our registered dental hygienists provide thorough, careful treatment while keeping you completely comfortable.
What happens at a cleaning
Your hygienist removes plaque and hardened tartar above and below the gumline, polishes your teeth, and checks your gums for signs of inflammation or pocketing. The dentist then examines your teeth, reviews any X-rays, and screens for cavities, worn fillings and anything unusual in the mouth — so small problems are caught early, when they're simplest to fix.
Deep cleaning and gum disease
When gums bleed easily, look swollen or have begun to pull away from the teeth, a regular cleaning isn't enough. Scaling and root planing — often called a deep cleaning — cleans the root surfaces below the gums so they can heal and reattach. Afterwards we'll recommend a cleaning schedule that keeps your gums healthy.
Comfortable for the whole family
From a child's first cleaning to grandparents' checkups, we see patients of every age. Nervous? Let us know — we offer nitrous oxide, there's a TV in every room, and we're happy to go at your pace.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I get my teeth cleaned?
Most people do best with a cleaning and exam every six months. If you've had gum disease, we may suggest every three to four months to keep it under control.
Does a dental cleaning hurt?
A routine cleaning shouldn't hurt. If your gums are sensitive, tell your hygienist — we can numb the area or use nitrous oxide to keep you comfortable.
Do you clean children's teeth?
Yes. We're a family practice and see children from their first visit onward.
