Strong and natural-looking
Modern dentistry lets us combine beauty and strength when filling a tooth. Tooth-colored composite resin and ceramic fillings bond directly to the tooth and are shaded to match, so a repaired tooth looks and feels like the rest of your smile.
When you need a filling
Fillings repair cavities, small chips and cracks, and teeth worn down by grinding. Catching decay early keeps the filling small — waiting can let a cavity grow until the tooth needs a crown or root canal instead.
Safe removal of old silver fillings
Silver (amalgam) fillings are a mixture of silver particles and mercury with trace amounts of other metals. The mercury in an intact filling is considered stable, but removing one can release particles that could be swallowed or inhaled without the right precautions. In our office, every silver filling is removed under a rubber dam with high-volume suction to protect you.
Your comfort comes first
Our clinical staff and doctors go the extra mile to make a dental visit a positive experience. We offer nitrous oxide, movies and music — and most importantly, good old TLC.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a filling take?
Most fillings are finished in a single visit of about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size and number of teeth.
Can I replace my old silver fillings with white ones?
Yes. We can replace amalgam fillings with tooth-colored ones, and we remove the old material under a rubber dam with high-volume suction.
Can I eat after a filling?
Composite fillings harden right away. If you were numbed, wait until the numbness wears off so you don't bite your cheek or tongue.
